Poverty in Kuala Lumpur as well as the capital and the most developed city in Malaysia might be underestimated by the outside community especially tourists and foreigners because there was a big city that many of humankind can make the contribution for them to avoid the risk of poverty rates. The government has put in place various policies and initiatives and has spent hundreds of billions of ringgit to reduce poverty. Thus, in order to increase efficiency, effectiveness and maximum results, structural and methodological changes need to be made to address the issue of poverty. People in poverty typically experience persistent hunger or starvation, inadequate or absent education and health care, and are usually isolated from mainstream society. Hence, being one of the NGO members can reduce their poverty burden even with a small grant.

It is very effective as I expected because they seem happy when received the grant from us. Before we made the large-scale donation, we received donations from the government and sincere contributions from other people of RM500,000 in total. By doing this donation, I was helping others carry the donations such as foods, household items, cooking utensils, and so on. To make them satisfied and happy with our donation, I always smile when did my job instead of focusing on it. Sometimes, I am advising several people especially teenagers to make their despair lives to hope.

After that experience, my habit of encouraging other people to help each other increased instead of helping them by myself because I am so impressed with their patience and perseverance to go through all the challenges of their daily lives. I thanked them because allowed me to join as NGO's member which had strict procedures to follow it, therefore I am so thankful to God that I was born with normal life without worrying about finances.
